Youth will have the opportunity to interact via live video chat. This group is made in order for students to get together to encourage one another and practice social skills. The group may also include directed teaching of skills that youth can use to self-advocate, cope and use day to day. The flow of the group will largely follow the lead of the youths rather than any structured curriculum. This allows for the curriculum to be based on what each group needs. As the class continues, social games and print outs may be utilized. This allows to reinforce any skills that are being taught or to have it available to talk to mom and dad about it. This group will focus on how to create good social emotional awareness as well. The group is meant to be more student lead to allow for this time. Due to this being a student lead group and curriculum is made based on the group, there is no set curriculum. Grab a snack, get cozy and lets chat!
