Discover not just the math of geometry, but also its application in art, landscape architecture, and more. This is the THIRD of a three-part geometry series where we not only discover not just the math of geometry, but also its application in art, science, engineering, nature, and more. 

It is not required, but if your child has not covered the Beast Academy 3 and 4 geometry units it is highly recommended that your child take these two classes before signing up for this one: Geometry I: "So Obtuse" Polygons, Projects, and More and/or Geometry II: "Get to the Point" Learn, Create, and Even EAT Your Math. Foundational knowledge of geometry concepts like measuring angles, categorizing shapes, and calculating perimeter and area is required for this class, as are the basic foundations of math (numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc.). 

Each day we will: 
- Play games, solve puzzles, or become detectives solving mystery math cases to activate curiosity
- Read comic-book style math stories, watch cartoon-style short videos, and tackle math challenges together to build knowledge
- Explore art, science, and/or engineering to make connections with the world around us
- Get hands-on, minds-on with creative projects to take action with what we learned about  

Our schedule is as follows:
Class1: Polygons, Perimeter, Area, and Landscape Architecture and Design
Class 2: 3D Solids and Nets, Engineering, and Structure Building
Class 3: Surface Area, Junk Rethunk, and Building a "Tin" Robot
Class 4: Volume, Engineering, and Designing a Candy Box

*Note: This class is usually a best fit for upper elementary and early middle school age students who have a solid foundation in reading and basic math concepts like number value (greater than, less than, equal to) and operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). This class is not endorsed or affiliated with AoPS or Beast Academy, but I have permission to teach using their curriculum and provide students with a license for the online Beast Academy program to practice outside of class (at no additional cost to the enrolling family).
