In this one time class student's will learn the basic functions of garage band. They will learn about the different instruments and samples they can use from the Garage Band music library. They will also learn how to record using multiple tracks. The class will mainly consist of me instructing the class and pausing a long the way for questions or help. During class if student's want to screen share and show they have understood how to operate the function they are welcome to do so and will always be some time for that. Learners are not required to have outside knowledge only basic knowledge of how to use a computer. Please make sure the application, Garage Band can open. The program at times needs to be updated with the computer so make sure the program or computer is updated and that the program can open.

Student's will learn the basic functions of garage band and create their own song. They will specifically learn about the different samples and instruments they can use, and how to record with different tracks. This class is for the application (or program) that is on the lap top or computer. The application on the i-pad is significantly different and will not work for this class.

Please make sure you have this program installed and on your computer before class. Please also make sure the application or program opens and works before class. Often Garage Band may need to be updated so please make sure the program is updated and can open before class. Thank you.
