*This is one Unit of Wilson Academy Fundations Kinder Curriculum*

This class is 3x a week. I teach this class 3 times throughout the day. Small group sizes for better support. Classes will fill up quickly. If one class is full, check one of the other times. 

In Unit 1, your child will learn letter names and sounds for the letters A-Z, and letter formation for lower-case letters. This will lay a necessary foundation for your child to become a fluent and independent reader. 

We will follow the same weekly model
Day 1 and 2: New Letter Introduction 
Day 3: Make it Fun- Where we practice what we have learned in fun and engaging ways + Word Play- Where we practice sentence structuring

Why We Don’t Teach Letters A–Z in Order

In our class, we follow a specific sequence to teach letters, rather than A–Z. This helps children learn more effectively! Letters are introduced based on how often they appear in early reading and writing, allowing students to start blending sounds and forming words right away.
