This course starts with basic math skills like adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing, while teaching kids how to stay organized and check their work. With fun routines and easy strategies, students will confidently tackle word problems and get ready for algebra. Step by step, they'll build the skills they need to succeed in algebra without feeling intimidated.

This course is ideal for students who have just completed 4th or 5th grade and want to strengthen their mathematical skills.

This course offers a diverse learning experience, combining:

The class structure includes:

1. Warm-up activities: Fun Activities to jump start the lesson (10 minutes)
2. Discussion: Interactive lesson using SKIES Learn, Video Clips, or Modeling to introduce the topic of the day (20 minutes)
3. Guided Practice: Practice and mastery of the skill through guided activities and collaboration (30 minutes) 
4. Individual Practice: Mastery of skills through independent work and assessments (30 minutes)

At the end of this class, learners will have strong foundation in numeracy and will be confident in Algebra! We will work at the pace of our learners, additional support is available for learners struggling with a specific concept.
