Theatre games are not only a great way to warm up in preparation for acting, but they are a great way to break out of one's shell and become more comfortable and expressive.  Welcome to my new, on-going Theatre Games class FOR KIDS!  My name is Danielle Brown and I have been teaching Drama in high school for 15 years and have worked in teen theatre as a Director, Choreographer and Teacher for many more.  I also hold a BA in Theatre and have been performing since I was bitten by the bug at age 14!

My students absolutely love theatre games and request to do them often.  In this class, we will play a variety of ice-breakers and theatre games to promote self-expression, confidence and creativity.  Each class will begin with an activity that will serve as an introduction to one another.  Then we will do warm up exercises and games to get the juices flowing.  Finally, we will engage in more complex games that will support the development of the students in the class.  Some of the games we will play are:

With these on-going classes, we will have the luxury to take more time with the games than I am able to give in the classroom.  There will be a lot of interaction with me and with the students.  I don't just direct the class - I participate as well!  All in all, we will have a lot of fun and gain some mastery along the way!
