"¡Campamento musical lleno de diversión, ritmo y canto!"

Los estudiantes asistirán a un campamento de música de 3 días (lunes, miércoles y viernes), de 30 minutos por día, donde jugarán juegos musicales, conocerán a otros "campistas" y aprenderán un poco de teoría musical en el camino.

Experiencia de clase

Students will be taught:
1) Music Theory
2) Musical games
3) Musical fun!

Students will be interacting with others from all over and will be given the opportunity to learn about rhythm, beat, Solfege (do, re, mi, etc), body percussion, locomotor and non-locomotor movement, and note values. I'll be using in person teaching, and allowing students to shine individually, if they feel comfortable.

No prior musical knowledge or experience is necessary. I love all and teach all students from wherever they are starting from!

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Hello! Music is my passion, and I love teaching a variety of musical subjects in a variety of ways to a variety of learners! I'm also an Anglophile, so I might be sneaking in some English literature book club classes every once in a while.

I graduated with a degree in Music Education from Northwest Nazarene University in 2001, and began teaching full time Elementary Music in 2002. I earned my Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from NNU in 2004. I've taught in both Title One and affluent schools, schools that were small, and schools that were large. I have a huge passion for special education, having two beautiful sons who were both diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at the age of 2.

My approach to learning is that it is not a one size fits all deal. Each learner comes with a unique set of strengths and weaknesses, areas of specialty, and areas that need growth, as well as a variety of interests. Some students (and adults!) have broad interests, some of very particular interests on a deep level. The key to good teaching is finding out as much as you can about the learner as quickly as you can so that you can tailor your teaching to help help the student grow.

I love my family, Starbucks, social justice, and my students!
