This ongoing class invites participants to embark on a captivating journey through the world of government structures, diverse communities, and the compelling narratives of historical figures.

Sample Schedule: 
5 minutes- Welcome/Intro
20 min- Mini Lesson and Interactive Activities
5 min- Closing/Review

Topics will vary each week but will include topics such as: 

-Government Insights: Uncover the inner workings of various government systems worldwide, exploring their structures, functions, and impact on societies.

-Community Chronicles: Journey through different communities, understanding the dynamics that shape their identities, traditions, and interactions with governing bodies.

-Historical Narratives Unveiled: Peel back the layers of history to reveal the stories of influential figures and pivotal events that have shaped cultures, societies, and our global landscape.

-Inventive Explorations: Dive into the world of inventions, discovering how innovations have played a role in transforming societies and contributing to progress.

-Holistic Approach: A comprehensive study that covers government, communities, historical narratives, inventions, and cultural interactions.

-Engaging Discussions: Participate in developmentally appropriate discussions, sharing insights and perspectives with a diverse group of learners.

-Interactive Learning: Engage in hands-on activities, projects, and collaborative exercises that bring social studies concepts to life. 
**This includes activities such as Nearpod games and exercises, drawings, crafts, writing prompts, worksheets, etc.**

This class is designed for 1st & 2nd Graders with curious minds seeking a deeper understanding of the interconnected elements that shape our global society.

Week of February 11- Culture in the United States
Week of February 18- Jobs / Community Helpers
Week of February 25- Levels of Government
Week of March 3- Heroes from the Past
Week of March 10- Inventions that Changed the World
Week of March 17- Geography (Continents & Oceans) 

This class is a great beginner class that offers a dynamic and inclusive exploration of the social studies spectrum for 1st and 2nd graders.
