Theme: Frindle teaches us the value of words and the meaning of words. The book also teaches us creativity. Learners will be encouraged to think outside the box and let their imaginations go. Another topic in Frindle is inspirational people. Learners will explore people in their life who have made an impact. Character Analysis: Frindle has dynamic characters for us. These are believable characters that we will see how they change. Plot: Learners will study the events in Frindle to identify the conflict and resolution. Students will be able to categorize Frindle's genre by the end the readings.
Class will be structured so students will read outside of class, and I will post videos, assignments, projects, and tasks weekly. Students will post their work and comment on other students. Everything will be posted each Monday by 9 am Central Time. I will communicate with students and post on their work with feedback. Students can also request a live session.
This structure is perfect for students who may be busy so they can work at their own pace. You have access to class even after the four weeks and I will still comment on your work.
