The purpose of this ongoing class is to give students the opportunity to meet other people their age to build friendship skills. It's become important for children to have a way to socialize AND learn how to socialize well in online settings.

In this activity, under the expert facilitation of an experienced educator and social & emotional learning (SEL) pioneer, students will be given opportunities to connect with others in a positive way. Focusing on encouragement instead of coercion, the facilitator will help the students engage in ways that bring out their unique strengths, honor the group as a whole, and help them feel capable and important.

As an ongoing class, students can participate once or multiple times. Each week's session will be unique because of the people present and the new experiences they are having in their lives.

While the conversation in this class is English, it is also ESL friendly, appropriate for CEFR: A2, B1, B2, and beyond. Having learners from different countries and backgrounds helps expand our opportunities to connect with and respect others.
