Students will learn about the Yixian Formation and the fossil creatures located in it. The topics covered will be as follows: 1: The location of Yixian and its age 2: Imperial Japanese discovery and destruction of the sites 3: Chinese rediscovery 4: Ornithopods of Yixian 5: Sauropods of Yixian 6: Dino-birds of Yixian 7: Raptors of Yixian 8: Non-raptor theropods of Yixian 9: Pterosaurs of Yixian 10: Everything else in Yixian My class will be structured along the food web of ancient Yixian I will teach using images and video clips used with permission from artists and documentary companies. I will also provide lectures and discussion. My teaching style can be described as interactive. Learners will get to interact with my through images, lectures, discussion and video clips. No prior knowledge required, just a love of prehistory
