1 hora por semana. I believe in assigning homework because I think that regular practice and repetition are essential for learning. As part of my teaching methods, I provide students with flashcard handouts, which they can use to practice social skills with their friends and family. When we meet next, I review their progress and see if any improvements have been made. Additionally, I have access to resources like Teachers Pay Teachers, where I can find and share social skills handouts. The curriculum I follow includes speech bubble conversation handouts, which I find to be an excellent resource for teaching social skills!Experiencia de clase

Hey there! So, in my Parent/Family Summary, I've outlined a standard three-week course that I offer to learners. However, I'm always open to covering other topics that parents or children may request. For instance: 1. Social Cues: I can help learners understand when it's appropriate to bring up certain topics and in which situations. 2. Asking for Help: I can provide different ways for learners to ask for help if they're uncomfortable raising their hand in class. 3. Presenting in Front of Your Class: I used to struggle with public speaking, but I've found strategies that have helped me overcome my anxiety. I'd love to share them with your child, including tips like going first and passing out incentives to the audience. 4. Stand up! Don't Stand by!: Middle school can be tough, and I know from personal experience. But I've learned some positive strategies for resisting negative peer pressure and preventing bullying. I'd be happy to share them with your child so they can look back on their middle school experience with positivity.
Metas de aprendizaje
I am passionate about teaching students the appropriate ways to start conversations with friends, peers, and family. One of the main themes I emphasize in my sessions is to be an "upstander" instead of a bystander and to be a friend to everyone. I encourage learners to set a high bar and lead by example, striving to bring positive change to their communities.
