I’m an enthusiastic and dedicated educator with a passion for cultivating learning experiences, relationships, and academic confidence that goes beyond the textbooks. I received my undergraduate degree from Virginia Wesleyan University and Teaching Licensure from Old Dominion University.
In the classroom, I teach a variety of subjects including AP English Literature and Composition, 12th Grade English, and 10th Grade Core and Inclusion instruction. I have comprehensive understanding of IEP and 504 expectations as well as adapting to the needs of differently-abled learners. I also have expertise in AP curriculum standards.
I hold a Culturally Responsive and Inclusive Educator Practices credential from VCU and a Youth Social Action in Schools: Connecting Community and Character credential. I also hold a Leaders of Learning Certification from Harvardx.
Beyond the classroom, I enjoy bringing a breath of fresh air to education with years of experience in Nature-Based learning. I love infusing my teaching style with a love for the outdoors.
