Tarea
1 hora por semana. Students will have some work to do with each class video. For some students this could take seconds, others will want to put a bigger effort into each worksheet. Lots of the work is personal reflection instead of right and wrong answers. Most students don't spend more than an hour per week. The goal will be at the end, that students practice what we learn naturally in their real lives.
Evaluación
Every assignment turned in will receive personal feedback when applicable. This can come in the form of video or writing, but it is 1:1 and specific to the individual student. There is no letter grade. Parents are welcome to contact the teacher at any point.

High school is a pivotal phase in a student's life where they transition into society, explore first jobs, and adapt to social norms. The ability to communicate clearly in a variety of opportunities is vital. However, societal pressures sometimes lead teens to focus on less important aspects, potentially neglecting what truly shapes their futures. Many teenagers lack the life experiences necessary to open doors of opportunity and experience essential life lessons. Nevertheless, it's often the tough lessons that mold teens into exceptional leaders, enthusiastic workers, effective managers, and successful entrepreneurs.



My coaching program is designed to:
♦ Identify Strengths and Weaknesses: Students do an individual self-evaluation (even in a group setting) where students describe their weaknesses, and we work together to create growth plans for each student. Students will answer a series of questions on a scale of 1-10 to determine how strong they feel in each skill.
♦ Meet Students Where They Are: We develop a plan of actionable steps tailored to the individual.
♦ Promote Independence: I intend to instill self-reliance and begin the process of fostering a child's ability to work independently. 
♦ Develop Comprehensive Skills: We emphasize the cultivation of both soft skills and hard skills.

Please Note: This class does not focus on medical physical or mental (grief, dietary, trauma, diagnosis, etc) health topics. This class focuses on skill sets needed in the real world and uses student self-reflection to help students assess where they would like to focus energy. Topics of each week are listed below in the weekly schedule.

Most of my learners aspire careers in science. Many of my learners have taken other veterinary and animal courses with me. That said, a substantial amount of time in this coaching program is set to develop transferable skill sets. In today's rapidly changing world, mastering the skills applicable to various careers, entrepreneurial endeavors, and lifestyle adaptations is paramount.



My curriculum: 
♦ Welcomes All Teens: I expect a diverse background from learners
♦ Personalized: While all learners receive the same class assignments, feedback and additional suggestions, coaching on individual projects, is catered to each learner.
♦ Practice for Mastery: We encourage students to practice. We help learners identify opportunities in their day to day lives where they can practice their new skill sets.
♦ Interactive Worksheets: Printable worksheets, created specifically by the teacher for this class, are available and can be kept as a workbook of resources at the end of class.
♦ Focus on Growth: We recognize that growth looks different for every individual. Celebrate!

Class videos are a mixture of lesson, skill development, and concept/tool introduction. I am here to help your teen learn life balance. They will learn to get back on track, stay on track, or develop a new track, therefore reaching their end goals. My goal is to offer practical actionable steps that lead to results. Students must do the work to be successful.

Instructions are in the welcome message of every classroom. I encourage parents and learners to please reach out to me as often as needed so we can work together for the success of your child.

Kaitlyn Krotchko
I graduated in 2010 from NC State University with a B.S. in Animal Science Pre-Vet. I minored in Agriculture Business Management and concentrated on Anatomy & Physiology, Equine Science, Industry, and Business. I worked in animal science and medicine from 2004-2014 and then moved into online education in 2014 and am prepared for this course. My knowledge has developed from 20+ years of use with working positions in management, hiring, working, university student and graduation, and real-life experience. I have continued to take ongoing business and diversity courses through coursera.com and I am ACE certified on Outschool helping promote my understanding and inclusion of diversity. I am prepared to teach this course.
