Welcome to Flex Chinese Storydraw for Beginners: Ages 7-11. We are excited to have your kids join our program and start learning! All lesson modules are pre-recorded videos, so there won't be any scheduled live meetings.

In this 8-week self-paced course, we will explore the Chinese language through our own short stories created by Language Mindset. Our language acquisition method is based on short stories ranging from 25-50 words, which we break down using our decoding system. This approach helps your kids understand the language structure without having to memorize grammar rules. We believe that language learning can be fun and engaging, and that's why we have developed lovable characters like Salt the cat, Pepper the dog, and Sunny the Squirrel to help your kids learn.

WEEKLY CONTENT:

Each week, students will complete workbook activities including:

- Shadow teacher videos  of the story
- Build your Chinese library: Print Story
- Decoding, Drawing it, and Clapping it out in the student booklet
- Singing along to our favorite Youtube songs
- Playing Word Games & Flashcards
- Reading the Full Story in Chinese

Students will also listen to their Chinese buddies' stories and provide feedback. They will also receive positive feedback and comments from their Chinese teacher.

- Weekly video submissions with spoken answers to questions of the week
- Mini Multiple Choice Quizzes using Google Docs for comprehension

WEEK 1 &2: Story # 1: Under the Sea

Under The Sea 🐋 Dive into the mysteries of the ocean as your child befriends a gentle whale, dances beneath the shimmering moonlight, and immerses in the enchantment of a golden night. Sing along with the characters and ride the whimsical waves in this captivating underwater escapade.

WEEK 5 & 6: Story # 3: Bear Camping

This camping experience promises a unique and unforgettable adventure.

WEEK 7 & 8: Story # 4: Watermelon Seed

Watermelon Seed 🍉 Pack a picnic and head to the park with our delightful character, Mr. Alligator. He loves watermelon and ate it too fast - WHOOPS, see what happened!

WHY FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE?

We believe that language learning is a lifestyle and should accommodate your lifestyle as well! Learners can study the video modules when it's best for them. This FLEX class allows for a free flow in; so your learner can watch the video as often as they wish! You can even stop and pause the video to make any fun notes in your interactive notebook to take ownership of the learning.
