Metas de aprendizaje
Studies show that music, art, theater and dance are crucial to the development of our children’s critical thinking and communication skills. Through flamenco, children will acquire the tools for exploring self-expression, while simultaneously opening the door to Spanish culture and language. Classes are designed to cover and practice all basic aspects of dance and movement for students without prior dance experience. Focus will be on learning the traditional dance called the Sevillanas.
Students will learn hand and arm movements, foot steps, pirouettes and hand clapping. They will learn how to recognize the rhythm count of the Sevillanas and create graceful body movement.
