  • Develop Personal Financial Goals: Students will set and articulate clear, achievable financial goals using the SMART criteria and create a personalized financial plan.
  • Master Budgeting and Saving Techniques: Students will learn to create and manage a budget, track income and expenses, and implement effective saving strategies, including understanding the impact of interest.
  • Understand and Apply Investment Basics: Students will grasp the fundamentals of investing, including various investment types, risk vs. return, and diversification, and apply these concepts to hypothetical scenarios.

Associate's degree in childcare and development: Understanding of child development, including how to design lessons that address the academic and developmental needs of students.
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education: Specialization in STEM, ELA, and curriculum development, providing a strong foundation for teaching essential financial concepts in an age-appropriate manner.

Master's degree in finance and global studies: In-depth knowledge of finance, budgeting, investing, and money management, which is critical for teaching advanced financial concepts and strategies.
Professional Experience:

13 Years Teaching Experience: Extensive experience teaching children from ages 0 to 18 in various subjects, including ELA, STEM, and financial literacy components.
10 Years in Classroom Settings: Practical experience in physical classroom environments, providing a solid foundation for creating engaging and effective lessons.
Experience in ESL Instruction: Several years of teaching English as a Second Language, demonstrating the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible way.
Relevant Certifications:

120-Hour TESOL Certification: Training in teaching English and related skills, which enhances the ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to diverse learners.

Additional Skills:

Experience with Dyslexia: Comfortable working with children who have dyslexia, providing tailored support to ensure they understand financial concepts.

The information that these sources possess will not upset or scare learners. These sources are not required to be assessed outside of the class. 

All of these sources have been vetted properly and have an official rating that is age appropriate for the learners in this class.
