Experiencia de clase

Bienvenidos a la fiesta! Let's be ready to have fun as we learn the popular Jarabe Tapatio, also known as the Mexican hat dance, while also learning and practicing to count in Spanish. Learners will learn the choreography step-by-step throughout the four weeks. They will learn the footwork and the hand movement as they put it all together to choreograph the dance.

The following is the what each week will consist of:

Week One: Introduction to Mexican folkloric dance, music, costumes and basic footwork. Spanish numbers that will be used during class.
Week Two: Continue the footwork and introduce the hand movement.
Week Three: Incorporate choreography to footwork and hand movement.
Week Four: Perform complete choreography and showcase our Spanish learning.

This class will have learners moving, dancing, speaking Spanish, and smiling week after week! We can't wait to meet your learners. Hasta luego!

Orientación para padres
Students should have an open space to be able to move. Parental supervision is recommended while class is in session due to learner moving around to warm-up, perform dance steps, and cool down. While Mexican folkloric shoes are not required, students should wear closed-toed shoes to protect their feet. Hard-soled shoes are recommended. A board or wood floor is recommended to hear the sound of a taconazo (heel tapping the floor).
Lista de útiles escolares
Not a requirement but a full circle skirt is encouraged and hard-sole shoes.
