The first few minutes of the next class meeting will be used to share progress on the previous week's project. Does your learner want to learn to crochet and express their creativity in a new way? Join me for this fun and engaging 5-week course where learners ages 8-12 will learn the basic crochet stitches. Learners will be introduced to the chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet stitches. In every class meeting (weeks 2-5), learners will have time to practice their stitches with a new crochet project. We will make a scarf, dishcloth, hair scrunchie, and bag. I have been crocheting for over 30 years! My mother taught me how to crochet when I was 8 years old, and I've never stopped. Crocheting is a wonderful way to release stress and anxiety, while being creative at the same time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CLASS BREAKDOWN: Each class meeting will follow this format: Introductions + get to know you or icebreaker game (5 minutes) Show and tell of previous class projects (voluntary, 2-5 minutes) Lesson on required stitches for this week's project (5-10 minutes) Introduction of weekly project, demonstration of the pattern. (5-10 minutes) Learners will practice the stitches learned in the class while making their creation for the duration of the class time. Dishcloth, Single Crochet/Moss Stitch
This week's project is a dishcloth. Based on the learners' comfort level with the single crochet, we can make our dishcloth using just single crochet stitches, or combine them with chain stitches to create the moss stitch pattern. I will demonstrate both. 45 minutos de lección en vivo en línea

Hair Scrunchie, Slip Stitch
