Do you have a pet fish? Do you love fishes in general? Let's gather and make origami fish! It is not mandatory, but if you would like to participate in show-and-tell, please bring a picture or show us, if allowed, what's in your fish tank. You don't have a pet fish, but love fishes? Tell us all about it! Each learner will have one minute to speak while others will be muted so that we can give our full attention to the speaker. No prior experience is necessary to make this craft. I will demonstrate every step of the way and will answer any questions. A list of supplies is listed below. We will make as many fish as time permits. Please note Outschool's limited refund policy. Your learner will need: - Multi color/color paper of choice (Please precut into TEN square sheets in different sizes to depict size variation; 6 in. x 6 in.; 5 in. x 5 in.; 3 in. x 3 in.) - A sheet of white paper - Glue stick - Scissors - Black Sharpie marker or black pen - Scotch tape (if taping to wall after class) Have googly eyes? Bring them to class! We will make as many fish as time permits.

Hello!
Thank you for stopping by. My students call me Teacher Vaughn. I have over fifteen years of experience working with children, starting with tutoring and working the after school program at a local elementary school while I attended college. After graduation, I became a preschool teacher and continued to work as a tutor at my daughter's elementary school for many years. My journey of working with children went online in 2017 when I became an English teacher to children in China. To date, I have taught over two thousand classes to over five thousand students, ages five to twelve.
My background of working with children has been on an academic level, but I'm looking forward to moving in a different direction with Outschool. Here, I would like to share my love of crafting, of Korean pop music (I have my teenage daughter to thank for this!) and of languages.
I find crafting to be so much fun and therapeutic. I discovered the joy of crafting fifteen years ago and have since made origamis of different items, JOY wreaths, floral wreaths, floral crowns, garlands, door bows, banners, seasonal things, baby shower gifts such as diaper cakes and sashes, backdrops for many different occasions as well as money leis for special occasions.
Fun facts about me:
* I taught my daughter to read in 100 days.
* I speak several languages and can understand a couple more.
* I find joy in planning special events because I find joy in seeing everyone gathered together.
* My daughter and I have had random dance parties since she was a toddler. Now, my teenager and I dance to K-pop music almost every single day.
* I was the social committee chair at my daughter's elementary school and had the best time. Although I no longer hold this position in middle school I am very much a part of the social committee. School dances will forever be my favorite school events to plan.
* I love to take pictures, but I'm an "auto mode" type of photographer -- and I'm okay with that. I take more than I need, delete less than I should and, with those images, have started quite a library of photo books for my family.
