Wild Cats are amazing creatures. Wild Cats have interesting creature features and fascinating traits. In this 4-week course, learners will travel around the world and explore many of the 40 species of wild cats. This course will help learners understand the behavior, habitats, and traits of wild cats. We will also explore their adaptations and common behaviors. Weekly recordings of the lesson will be provided. Week 1 – Wild Cats Of Africa Week 2 - Wild Cats Of North America Week 3: Wild Cats Of Europe and Asia Week 4: Other Wild Cats Around the World This course allows learners to cover material during a time that is convenient for them each week. Students are encouraged to check in with the teacher weekly via the Outschool classroom. Checking in will allow for more engagement between the teacher and learner. After each weekly lesson, students can comment and collaborate with their peers by replying to class and lesson postings in the Outschool classroom. Students are also encouraged to communicate with other students in the comments on these postings. Our class participation will an introduction post, discussion posts, fun assignments, and creative projects in the classroom. This helps students process what they are learning by collaborating with other students and the teacher. Participation in assignments allows students to practice and reinforce learning. Most private messages or classroom comments are responded to within 24 hours with the exception of weekends and or holidays. Interactive lessons include a weekly video, chat questions, fun assignments, and creative projects. Each week there will be questions for learners to respond to in the classroom. Children are encouraged to respond to classmates and the teacher. In the final week of class, learners will choose their favorite wild cat and give a presentation. This presentation can be written, artistic interpretation, or video about their favorite and what they have learned or love about that wild cat. This class has NO live meetings. This format is perfect for learners from all over the world who want to learn, or are shy and do not want to attend a live class. Learners are encouraged to dig into the class content for the week.
