Students will learn through interacting with baby chicks and adult hens and discussing them through "hands on" learning. Ask real-time questions about real-time chickens! Chick Breed (20+ chicks): Cornish Cross Adult Breeds (6 hens): Lakeshore Egger - 2, named Alpha and Omega Easter Egger -1, named Bunny Buckeye - 1, named Brutus Austra White - 2, both named Austra Some examples of questions / learning: What do they eat? Can I see their feet close-up? What do they do all day? Why are they pecking like that? Do they have different peeps?

Please keep in mind that there will be talk of meat chickens (chickens that are raised for consumption) and layer chickens (chickens that are raised to birth eggs for consumption). We do not shy away from topics such as the reproductive process, the digestive system, chicken illnesses and how to care for them, and more.
