Tutoría de matemáticas individual con experiencia (2024-2025: matemáticas de 5.º a 12.º grado)

The 1-1 tutoring will be a chance for your learner to receive personalized tutoring from a certified high school math teacher. Tutoring sessions are 30 minutes each but some students are scheduling back-to-back sessions for those who desire an hour long tutoring session.

The tutoring session is where your learner and myself can cover their homework, classwork, previously taken quizzes or tests to allow your learner to understand previously covered lessons/topics. We can also cover a current topic/concept from intermediate/middle school math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, or Pre-Calculus. It depends on the learner's needs.

If you are able to upload your learner's worksheet/problems, please complete this by logging into your Outschool dashboard and send it to me in an email. You can send it in the form of a pdf, doc, jpeg, png, or video file. This will allow me to prepare for our session so your learner will receive the best learning experience possible.

To maximize the class time, the class time will have the following structure:

Option 1:
(30 minutes) Going over current homework/classwork or going over previous homework/classwork/quiz/test.

Option 2:
(10 minutes) We-do: instructor and learner go through 2-3 examples as the instructor guides the learner's thoughts or answers the learner's misconceptions

(15 minutes) You-do: the learner completes and explains their reasoning for 2-3 questions

(5 minutes) The learner will have an opportunity to ask 1-2 homework questions or they will complete a game-style practice to measure their learning. I will email feedback on the game-style practice once it's complete (it could take your learner longer than the tutoring session to complete but not expected to do so).

It's highly recommended to schedule multiple session during the week for learners who need assistance throughout the week for their math class.

Welcome Parents to my class!

I'm Mr. M and I'm excited to have the opportunity to tutor your learner in math.  I have over 16 years of teaching and tutoring experience in both in-person and online environments.  I'm experienced with creating interactive classes, engaging learners from beginning to end, and encouraging struggling learners to give their best efforts. 

I obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics from East Texas Baptist University, a MBA from Purdue Global University online, and a Master's of Education from Lamar University online.

I look to empower learners with confidence in themselves, while encouraging them to try their best, even if they are uncertain of the answer.  I believe that every learner has the ability to improve their skills in any area of their educational journey when given the proper support and tools.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I love being active through playing sports, running, and working out.  I'm a big football fan who loves watching the games, playing fantasy football, and going to the games.
