The focus of this class will be to improve reading comprehension and writing skills according to the state standards. Although closely following these standards, each lesson will be tailored to meet the needs of the individual student. This class, as it is designed to teach at a 2nd grade level will focus on 2nd grade standards. However, if your child is behind, or ahead, the lessons will be created to challenge them appropriately. I earned my TESOL(2019) and TEFL(2021) certificates through VIPKid. I also hold a teaching certificate in special education. I taught reading, writing, and mathematics for 4 years. I taught at VIPKid for two years and enjoyed working with these children very much.
