In this ongoing class, students will use their knowledge of numbers, letters, colors, shapes, and more to complete educational activities and games in play-based adventures. Nearpod will be included in a majority of classes for added interactivity and exploratory games. This class is a great way for learners to practice important academic skills in both Preschool and Kindergarten, as well as social skills and learning how to work as a team. Each class session, there will be new escape room adventures and themes. The specific skills we will focus on throughout class are as follows: -numbers/counting -patterns -colors/rainbow -letters -days of the week/time -body/movement -shapes -seasons/weather -family members -sounds/rhymes -opposites -music fun Escape Rooms Adventures and Themes: Week of March 7 : Tiny the T-Rex and Big the Troodon Have a Dinosaur Tea Party! --Let's learn about Dinosaurs as we help Tiny and Big find their friends for the Tea Party. We will explore opposites as we learn about Dinosaurs and have fun! The Magic Carpet Ride! --The magic carpet is up to no good again. It's always flying off without Aladdin or Jasmine. Aladdin must find his magic carpet in order to get the genie and attend the castle party. Let's sing, dance, and move our way through the beauty of the Arabian Desert! Week of March 14: Arial's Birthday Bash! --Flounder is trying to throw a surprise birthday party for Arial. He needs to find all of his friends in the sea to invite them to her birthday party. However, Flounder can't remember how old Arial is. He needs to find Arial's sister, so he can put the correct number of candles on Arial's birthday cake! Let's count our way through the sea. The Case of the Missing Jungle Patterns! --The jungle is full of amazing creatures with so many different patterns and colors. Zee the Zebra is so sad, because he lost his stripes. Not only that, but all the jungle creatures lost their patterns. Zee must find his stripes, and help his animal friends like the cheetah, snake, giraffe, leopard and tiger find their patterns as well. Week of March 21: The Unlucky Leprechaun! --Lucky the Leprechaun is not actually very lucky. He needs to buy a green suit for St. Patricks day, but he doesn't have any more gold coins. His friend, Tricky, stole all his gold coins, and separated the rainbow into different colors. In order to find his gold coins, Lucky must put the colors back into the right spot and slide over the rainbow! **NO CLASS ON FRIDAY, MARCH 26 The Day the Pirate's Ship Sank! --Shiny the Pirate fell asleep on an island and forgot to anchor his ship. He woke up and the ship was gone. The ship was very heavy and must have sunk. But Shiny remembered to put the treasure on the island. Where is it? The monkeys must have stole it. Shiny must use his map of the island to find the hidden treasures before it gets dark. Week of March 28: Space Voyagers - Lost in Time! --Annie and Max found a time traveling machine. They thought they would travel back in time to their favorite day, but instead, they traveled to space! They are now lost in space. In order to get back, they need to enter a code into the time machine, or they will never get back to Earth! Let's have fun while learning about the days of the week and what time of day it is. The Animal Olympics! --Every year, the farm animals hold their own Olympic games. Farm animals come from near and far to compete in games like the eggtastic hunt, the duck waddle, the mud slide race, and animal charades. Who will win this years animal olympics? Come help the animal contestants waddle, hop, and jump through the Olympic games! Week of April 4: What Happened to Pizza Peet? --The pizza guy, Pizza Peet, is nowhere to be found. Kaila and her friends are hungry, and need to figure out how to make a pizza. Since Pizza Peet is Kaila's uncle, Kaila can make a pizza in his kitchen. The only problem is that Kaila does not know where all the ingredients are. In order to make the pizza, Kaila and her friends must find the missing ingredients. We will practice our shapes in this tasty class! The Castle that Melted! --The hottest day completely ruined Elsa's castle. It is melted, along with Olaf. In order to gain her powers back, Elsa needs to ask the Ice Queen for help. The Ice Queen will not give Elsa her powers until Elsa finds the Ice Queen's beach sandals, warm gloves, fresh apples to make an apple pie, and flying reindeer. Students will practice weather and seasons in this fun, frozen adventure! Week of April 11: The Disney Adventures! Where did Danny go? --The Daisy and her family are going to Disney World to have some amusement park fun. They are going to ride the rides and eat cotton candy. Oh no! Where did Daisy's brother, Danny go? Daisy must search the amusement park rides to find her poor, lost brother. Come to Disney World with us as we practice our family member names! Lee the Bee and the Case of the Missing Honey! --Lee the Bee needs to find more Honey, because his friend Zee the Bee ate it all! Where does honey come from? How do bees make honey? Let's have fun rhyming along with Lee to find out!

A warm welcome to you! I'm JennaLee or Mrs. M, and I am excited to share this opportunity for your family to gain skills like self-expression, confidence, and peer connection in the online classroom and in the world!
Learning should be both valuable and engaging, which I strive to offer in all of my classes. I also believe music is the ultimate expression of emotions and human connection, which is why I love to bring music to the Outschool classroom.
*My style for teaching is "out of the box" to instill a passion for lifelong learning.*
Philosophy:
It is important to me to offer a comfortable learning environment where students will feel free to express themselves and grow. Students will enjoy interacting with me and their peers with games that allow them to connect with others and express themselves, including their own interests and passions.
Qualifications:
- Experienced K-12 Music Teacher
- Bachelors of Arts Degree in Music Education (Violin and Vocal Performance)
- 3 Years Experience General Music and Choir Teacher for Elementary, Middle and High School
- 10+ Years Experience Teaching Private Violin Lessons
- Lifetime Experience Studying and Performing Music
*My students have gone on to play in school orchestras, perform auditioned solos in choir, perform confidently in talent shows, and audition for various musicals. The students are who make it possible, I just guide them to be their greatest!
