In this live chat, students will have the opportunity to hear about life as a horse farm manager, trainer and riding instructor. Each week will begin with an anecdote from the teacher’s farm. The students will each be prompted to share a horse-related question and/or prop/toy/book, in order to direct the topic of discussion to specific interests in the equestrian field. We will have a real horse join us, as we tour the farm and talk about what it is like to work with horses. Learners will have the opportunity to ask questions about our guest horse.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will learn:
•About horse care, riding, equipment, medical care depending on that week’s “real life event” that happens at the teachers farm
•Show and tell/public speaking
•Directing discussion through questions and sharing, after the teacher shows them how to “show and tell” to guide discussion.
