Episode Break Down of the American "The Office" (ages 14 - 18)
Any fan of "The Office" will come to appreciate the detail that goes into filming a scene. I have a B. A. degree in film and television. In this class students will dig deeper into episodes of "The Office." Students will look at the different camera techniques used then discuss the reasons behind the technique. Students will learn about dialogue subtext. Learning about dialogue subtext in film, teaches students to read subtext in literature as well. The details in the background will be discussed. Fun office facts and fan favorite lines will be talked about. If your student is looking into going to film school this class will help them to start thinking about film beyond the surface of a scene. "The Office" fans will enjoy learning about all the details that make this a popular television show.

Each week students will come to class after viewing an episode of "The Office." We will breakdown what happened in the episode. Students can talk about what they liked or disliked about the episode.
