Metas de aprendizaje
Students will become more familiar with species local to them and how to research and collect data. The art projects will help them remember details as we introduce each animal. The field trips will teach self-motivation, time-management, and safety. Students will feel empowered by simple steps they can take to protect the environment through habitat creation and protection, reducing waste, and collecting data for citizen science.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
I teach about nature and the environment through visual art. I've taught over 20 years in public schools, museums, youth programs, parks, and as a Master Gardener. I believe the arts help make learning personal and reinforce learning while giving individual voice to students. When I'm not teaching, I love to hike and photograph nature.
