Welcome to EASY Interactive Earth Science for younger kids. This is an easier version of my Intro to Earth Science Series for a beginners level and more interactive introduction to this amazing subject. Weekly classes cover the full Earth Science curriculum covering different, but related, topics from Semester 1 in Autumn to Semseter 2 in Spring time. I will introduce each topic in a Lecture style format using PowerPoint and images and videos where appropriate. Then we will pause to do an interactive task together like drawing and labelling a volcano. So this class style will have more time for discussion and student input. ▬▬▬▬▬ WEEKLY TOPIC SCHEDULE ▬▬▬▬▬ These courses start with Semester 1 in September and January. Semester 2 only starts in January. Please contact me to make sure you are joining the class that is at the right stage in the course for you. ▬▬▬▬▬ SEMESTER 1 ▬▬▬▬▬ 1) Intro to Earth Science - what subjects will we learn about 2) Minerals, Gems and Precious Metals 3) Diffirent Rock Types 4) Dinosaurs and Sedimentary Rocks 5) The Dinosaur Extinction: Asteroid or Volcanoes? 6) Volcanoes and Igneous Rocks 7) Plate Tectonics and Scientific Progress 8) The Structure of the Earth 9) Soil, Erosion and landslides 10) Rivers, Glaciers & Deserts 11) Oceans, Coasts & Waves 12) Atmosphere, Clouds and Rain 13) Weather Patterns, Storms and Tornadoes 14) Basic Astronomy & Space Science 15) The Solar System, Galaxies and the Universe 16) Earth Systems - Hurricanes & Snowball Earth ▬▬▬▬▬ SEMESTER 2 ▬▬▬▬▬ 17) Earth Cycles and Systems 18) More Minerals and Gems 19) Dinosaurs: from Reptiles to Birds 20) Fossils in Sedimentary Rocks 21) The Story of the Evolution of Life 22) Volcanoes Around the World 23) The Geology of North America 24) Glaciers, Ice Sheets and the Poles 25) Deserts and Wind Erosion 26) Ocean Life and Ocean Resources 27) Global Climate 28) The Carbon Cycle and Climate Change 29) The Sun, the Earth and the Moon Interactions 30) Space Science of Venus and the Moon 31) Space Science of Mars 32) Space Science of Other Moons 33) Landslides and Mass Wasting in detail 34) Seismology – The Study of Earthquakes 35) Intro to Palaeontology 36) Dramatic Earth Science Events 1 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ CLASS STYLE ▬▬▬▬▬ I use PowerPoint presentations for all my classes, so I can mix text and multimedia (photos & videos) which I think makes the class more accessible and interesting. I use educational videos regularly in my classes where this improves the quality of the teaching. This class will be in a lecture style where students are reminded they can ask questions at any time and I do enjoy questions. This means that you can enjoy the class however you like - speak up and get involved and ask questions, or just listen and enjoy with no pressure. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ COMMUNICATIONS ▬▬▬▬▬ Please contact me to arrange either one-off or ongoing bespoke 1-to1 tuition sessions. I generally reply within a few hours during term time weekdays. I try and reply within one working day. Please bear in mind I am on UK time, so at least 5 to 8 hours ahead of the USA. If you try my class and it is not quite right, then I don't want anyone to leave unhappy, please contact me and I can help. Just contact me if you have any further questions, I am happy to help.

Orientación para padres
Some classes talks about Global Warming and Climate Change causing more frequent natural disasters. It also talks about mass extinctions including the possibility of humans causing one now (including ourselves) and has some drawn images of animals dying to become fossils. It is delivered in a upbeat manner with positive solutions (eg: switching to renewable energy), but the more sensitive students may find these topics distressing.
