During this class, children will engage in multisensory lessons based on the Orton Gillingham approach to learning letter and vowel sounds. As they progress through the class, they will learn to read and spell irregular words using kinesthetic approaches. Long vowel sounds and digraphs (ch, sh, th, and wh) will be introduced in the last few weeks of the class. 

Your child will receive explicit and systematic phonics instruction based on the Orton-Gillingham method, which is particularly beneficial for students who need to review phonics skills, require additional practice, have learning disabilities, or are diagnosed with dyslexia.
