**Please be sure to see the prerequisites for this class before signing up.**

In this 2-3x/week, 1 on 1 class, your learner will learn all the skills needed to be a successful reader. I have included the 10 Levels below, however, depending on the age of the learner, it may take a while to get to the end. If I see your learner 2x a week, it will take 5+ months on average, to complete a level- except levels 1 and 2. Those are shorter levels and tend to go quicker. All students must sign up for at least 2x a week to participate in this class.

All students will be given a short assessment to determine which level we will begin with. Most begin with level 1, regardless of age, unless they have received intense OG instruction before this class.

Our class is very interactive. Learners will be interacting with me and the materials for the entire class. All manipulatives will be on screen, so we will need to make sure that we can utilize the remote control option on Zoom. Ipads usually do not work well for this.
This program is very systematic and has lots of repetition to ensure mastery.

Teaching style:

While this program is "intense" it does not mean it's stressful. My teaching style is light-hearted and stress-free. I like to keep things light and fun. My students know they can take risks and are not afraid of trying new things in my classes. I encourage my students to see mistakes as learning opportunities. I always follow the learner's cues and incorporate short movement breaks as needed, and I always try to save the last 5 minutes for some "game" time.
