With over a decade of teaching experience across the United States and China, my classes imbue students with a global perspective and develop essential skills such as communication, critical thinking, vocabulary enhancement, and test-taking abilities. I cover a wide range of subjects including History, Reading, Writing, Public Speaking, ESL, and Idioms, tailoring my approach to meet the diverse needs of my students.
Teaching Philosophy:
I believe in demanding effort rather than perfection. My teaching philosophy is built around this concept, emphasizing growth and development as continuous, lifelong processes. It's this journey of learning and self-improvement that prepares them to excel as adults in the real world. I passionately advocate for the mastery of reading, writing, and public speaking—not just as academic exercises, but as vital skills that boost confidence, enhance communication, broaden life opportunities, and improve test scores.
My own love for reading and writing is a testament to the power of literacy. It began in the 2nd grade, leading me to publish 12 books, including "The Danger Kids"—a project I started at age 12 and published decades later. This early passion also drove me to the stage, where I've connected with thousands through music, drama, and motivational speaking. My journey is proof that learning can be as enjoyable as it is crucial.
Join me, and let's embrace the joy and necessity of learning together. I'm here to show that every step in education is a step towards living a fulfilling, purposeful life.
