This is a class that will work on pre-reading skills by listening to a story, and on the social-emotional skill of perspective taking. I will read the story aloud to students, then lead them in a discussion where they can share times where they've had a different perspective from someone else. This will be a highly interactive class where students will be encouraged to share their ideas and experiences. I firmly believe that young children learn best when they are having fun, so I have puppets and toys to keep the story exciting and engaging. Students do not need any prior experience to participate.

Hi! Thank you for taking a look at my Outschool classes! I teach a variety of classes in reading, writing, and math for K-8 students and in writing for high school students.
I've known I wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. I love helping other people succeed, and the moment when something goes from "hard and frustrating" to "so easy" is incredibly motivating for me.
