Tarea
1-2 horas por semana. There will be 4 worksheets/quizzes on the powerpoints with activities available to answer and discuss as a group. Homework will be assigned weekly and is a combination of assignments, such as the rendering of a 3D object, the building of the object using building blocks, the design of such an object using the modeling platform, the object's slicing process, and preparing it for print. Students will be: - guided individually on how to improve on their work. - encouraged to submit their designs for review. - allowed to one-on-one instructor feedback live meeting before submitting their final project. Students will also practice their interpersonal skills using the Outschool classroom by posting their designs, hearing, and giving constructive feedback to each other designs.Evaluación
Students that follow and complete the assignments and participate in the live meeting with the instructor will receive a 3D printed product of their own design. As soon as we receive the file by email, we will print it and ship it to you.Experiencia de clase
This class is a discovery class where the only requirement is a passion for learning, creating, and collaborating. The material will be posted weekly, and you can view it during the week at your convenience. In this online course, each student will: - Be guided through various techniques with videos that I have been pre-recorded, along with quizzes and assessments. - Receive unlimited access to the PowerPoint presentations used in class. - Participate in a class at their own time with other learners his/her age group (10-15) using a Modeling Platform to create their first geometric 3D printable objects. - Understand how 3D printers work, how they know what to print, and what type of materials can be used to print. - Learn to use the designing platform to build and debug simple 3-dimensional objects. - Learn to use a slicing platform to debug their designs and get them ready to send to print designs. - Collaborate with small groups (12 students maximum per class) with one adult certified instructor. Syllabus/Topics covered: Introduction to 3D printers - How 3D printers create objects. - What materials can be used to 3D print. - How the printer knows what to print. Introduction to 3D modeling - What is Modeling Software or CAD. - Where we normally use 3D modeling. - Why & How we use SketchUp. Introduction to 3D design - What are the advanced designing tools. - How to troubleshoot designs. - What is printable and what is not. Introduction to 3D printing - What is G-Code. - How a slicing software work. - When and Why to print.

The class's price includes the printing and shipping of a 2"x2" model to your location in the USA. Once we receive the file, it might take up to one week to ship it to you.
