Embark on a wild journey through the animal kingdom in this fun and informative art camp Join me LIVE online twice a week for 8 exciting sessions where your child will: 🔴Explore Creativity: Dive into the world of art with engaging activities that encourage creative expression through drawing, watercolor painting, and sculpting some of the coolest animals on Earth, including elephants, dogs, pandas, and dolphins! 🟠Learn Fascinating Facts: Delve into the fascinating world of wildlife as we discover intriguing facts about each animal and their unique habitats. From the majestic elephant to the playful cat, your child will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for our animal friends. 🟡Cultural Connections: Expand your child's worldview as we explore how different cultures view and celebrate these amazing creatures. Discover the rich cultural significance of animals like the panda and their role as symbols of peace and friendship. 🟢Spark Creativity: Ignite your child's imagination with engaging activities and fun challenges designed to spark creativity and foster a love of learning. No prior experience is needed, just a passion for animals and a willingness to unleash their inner artist! This camp is perfect for curious kids who love animals and exploring their artistic side. Each week, we'll focus on a different animal, from the majestic elephant to the smart dolphin, ensuring a dynamic and enriching experience for your child. Each week, we'll focus on a different animal: Week 1: Day 1 = Drawing and shading - ELEPHANT - Meet the majestic elephant, the world's largest land animal! In many African cultures, elephants are revered for their strength, wisdom, and social intelligence. Day 2 = - Watercolor Paint - SEA TURTLE - First Nations people of Australia revere sea turtles as creation spirits, with stories depicting them as carriers of knowledge and wisdom. Week 2: Day 1 = Drawing and shading - DOG- Xoloitzcuintli (Xolo): This hairless dog breed, originating in Mexico, was considered sacred by the Aztecs and is still seen as a national treasure in Mexico Day 2 = Polymer Clay Sculpting - CAT - In ancient Egypt, cats weren't just mousers, they were mummified messengers, worshipped as gods, and purred their way into the hearts of a civilization. Week 3: Day 1 = Drawing and shading - DOLPHIN - Ancient Greece: Dolphins were seen as messengers of the sea god Poseidon, often depicted alongside him in artwork. Day 2 = Watercolor Painting - RABBIT - Some First Nation's people of North America associate rabbits with trickery and adaptability, while others view them as symbols of good luck and abundance. Week 4: Day 1 = Drawing and shading - HORSE: In Celtic mythology, horses were associated with the Otherworld, a realm of magic and spirits. Day 2 = Polymer Clay Sculpting - PANDA - China loves pandas so much, they're like a national mascot! Pandas are on their money and sometimes even sent as gifts to other countries to show friendship. Materials: Drawing paper, journal, or sketchbook; drawing pencil (2H, 4B, 6B optional); eraser.
Explore the Elephant's significance to some African cultures as you study the shape and proportions of the elephant using images for reference. Participate in the step by step drawing demonstration of the elephant. The remainder of the class will be spent practicing adding value shading the elephant to give it a more three dimensional appearance.

Watercolor Painting: Sea Turtle
Learn about the First Nations peoples of Australia relationship with the sea turtle. Study the shape and proportions of the sea turtle using images for reference. Participate in the step by step drawing and painting demonstration of the sea turtle. Practice glazing and wet on wet watercolor techniques to complete the painting.
