Each week students will meet to discuss the Dr. Seuss book of the week. Dr. Seuss books are good for students learning sight words and phrases, even for beginners learning to read. These books are well known and are great at keeping a young readers interest. In this class, students will read the book prior to class and will discuss the book in class. - Students will increase in reading comprehension skills, fluency, and flow of reading, by reading each book and discussing it in our class.
I have an Associate Degree in Arts from Hopkinsville Community College and am currently attending the University of Western Kentucky to obtain my bachelor's degree in health sciences. I own an art gallery and have been an artist for over 20 years. I have worked with kids for most of my life. Awarded most outstanding camp counselor at Oakland City camp best friends in Atlanta, Georgia. I have written and published many children's books as well.

Supports unique learning needs by offering: - A small group setting -Multisensory techniques (visual aids, auditory cues etc.) -Social and emotional support - Structured routines
Basic knowledge of sight words, vowel sounds and phrases.
Copy of book for each week to read. Students may create a craft and additional supplies are needed. Such as glue, scissors, coloring pencils/pens/crayons and construction paper.
