It is time to doodle!  In this 4 week class students will use simple lines and shapes to create a doodle style drawing of summer inspired subjects.  We will practice drawing various line types that will be used to create the simplified drawings.  We will begin with pencil, add marker and finish with quick color.
 The class will be engaging and fun, celebrating summer! I will guide drawing but students are free to make changes and individual creative choices. Students are expected to interact and contribute to the discussion on the classroom page. No previous drawing experience required.
 Each week a video will be sent that includes step by step instructions for the drawing the week.  Students may ask specific questions about the drawing process in the classroom. As the teacher I will address those student questions as well as create discussion surrounding the elements of art we utilize in our drawings.  
During the week we will learn about our summer subject including history or interesting facts.  Trivia games will be included each week. Throughout the week as students complete their drawing they are welcome to submit pictures of their artwork.  Videos explaining their artwork are an excellent addition.    We will also share our strengths in our artwork and take part in a positive critique with our classmates.  The goal is to be supportive and uplifting while learning to draw new subjects. I will direct specific critique questions to encourage thoughtful discussion on each drawing.  
 A new lesson and project will be given every Monday. Questions, discussions and sharing will occur throughout the week.
