In this one time class, your child will have fun sharing about his/her favorite Dogman book and interacting with other Dogman fans!  

We'll kick off our class by sharing about our favorite part in a Dog Man book or your child's favorite Dog Man book. To help your child know what they might want to talk about, I will send out a paper about favorite part prior to the class starting that you may choose to use with your child. Sometimes it can be helpful to have a picture and/or words to help your child share as we meet our learners. Please know, the paper is an optional activity and learners do not have to share if they do not feel comfortable sharing. 

We'll then get to see a short video clip about the newest Dog Man Book, Mothering Heights to get everyone in the Dog Man spirit. We'll also read together the first few pages of the book! I love to ask for volunteers to read to help create a fun reading environment! 

Then we will interact with some Dog Man trivia in a fun and noncompetitive way! We'll rely on each other to help us as we tackled some questions about this amazing series! Questions will come from a variety of the books so that kids know some of the questions depending on what books they have read. My hope is your child will feel confident about knowing Dog Man trivia based on whatever they have read. The more they have read, the more questions they will know! 

Time permitting, we'll use a virtual spinner of questions/sentence starters all about Dog Man and the series as a way to engage each other in all things Dog Man. 

At the end of the class, we will try out drawing Dog Man with step by step directions and your child will leave ready to read or reread Dog Man books!
