🙋🏻♀️Welcome to "Dive Into Notetaking: Cornell Notes!" In this class we will review what Cornell notes are and why they are one of the best tools to use in taking notes when reading texts or listening to a lecture. We will then practice taking the notes with a short article. ❤️My Teaching Style: I aim to support differentiated learning so while all learners will listen to my initial lesson when we do our practice time I will give students opportunities to push themselves ahead or work with me longer to understand the skills. 🧠Prior Knowledge: Students need to be able to read at a 5th grade level. 🗓️All students will get a chance to showcase their understanding as well as practice reading for comprehension a non-fiction text. Every week will be a new article so student's can join one class or come back the following week for extra practice! ⇢ Week #1: Cornell Notes with Article "Herd Behavior" From CommonLit ⇢ Week #2: Cornell Notes with Article "POV: What's the Buzz About Bees" From CommonLit ⇢ Week #3: Cornell Notes with Article "Taming Threats For the World's Largest Cats" From CommonLit ⇢ Week #4:Cornell Notes with Article "Project 500: Elephants" From CommonLit
