Students will have a blast as they become a Disease Detective to solve a mystery diagnosis before time runs out! Over the course of four weeks, I will post 8 different mystery cases that include a patient and his/her presenting symptoms. Based off of that preliminary information, students will begin investigating. I will add clues to the classroom page between cases to help students in their investigations!

Cases will be added each Tuesday and Thursday over the four weeks (8 total cases). Time "runs out" for one case as the next case is posted, i.e. Tuesday's case should work to be resolved before Thursday's case is posted, etc. 

I will post a "SOLVED" video explaining the correct diagnosis along with statistics for that disease once time is up. Because this is a flex-course, students are able to work at their own pace, and so if they need to take a little bit longer to solve the case, they can simply watch the video once they are ready. 

Between cases I will post designated discussion boards for students to collaborate by sharing questions, thoughts, guesses, and any helpful resources they are finding.
