In this one time class for learners ages 3 to 6, we will be pretending to be different dinosaurs and moving them like. We will learn about 7-9 different dinosaurs, their facts, see them move and move like them. Great way to get your energy out! Come fly like a Pteranodon or swim like a Mosasaurus, or stomp like a T-Rex. We will also be learning some basic facts about these animals: where they live, sounds they make, their size, color, etc. in addition we will be learning how to move. Move fast, slow, to the left, high, etc. Children learn best through play and having fun. This class is all about having fun and getting the wiggles out. Each learner will get a chance to be on the big screen to show off their animal moves so that others can see how they do it. We also will be talking about their experiences with these animals as well. Have they seen one before? Where do they live?

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Hi I’m Jennifer Burgard! I am a mother of 3; ages 20, 5 and 3 years old. I'm from Washington State. I'm so excited to meet all of you and welcome you to my classroom. I am a Certified Elementary Education teacher with a current and valid teaching certificate. I was a Special Education /Life Skills teacher for grades pre-k to 6th grade for 10 years. This included reading, writing, math, communication, social/emotional, daily life skills, etc. I have a BAE in Elementary Education with a Major in Reading and a Masters Degree in Special Education. I am very experienced with modifying and accommodating skills and curriculum to meet the students’ needs. I am also very good at motivating students to learn and getting them engaged. 1-1 and small group learning is my specialty.
I left the classroom in June 2019 and I now stay home and teach online and be MOM.
I have found I love being home with my children and being their very first teacher from a very young age as we learn through exploration and play. I believe children learn when they are having fun and are engaged. I do a lot with hands on toys, music, movement, play, etc. After being a special education teacher for 10 years I have found many creative ways to adapt learning to fit the learner and get them motivated.
I also enjoy hobbies such as crochet, scrapbooking, card making, etc. for over 18 years. I’m a teacher at heart and love to teach others to do what I love!
I can't wait to teach and have fun with your lovely learners; big or small!
