Experiencia de clase

Guided meditation is a little like narrating a dream for someone else.

As I speak/narrate, students will visualize dreamy scenes using the power of their imaginations.   

With a soothing voice and melodic instruments (singing bowls, chimes, or steel drum), I will help students find the calm within their minds...lulling them into a relaxed state, and eventually...a deep sleep.

Each week, the meditations will be focused on the same general theme of SLEEP, but will be delivered differently.  Some meditations may use more counting, some will focus heavily on slow breaths, and others will focus on relaxing sounds...but theme is always the same:

Here is an outline of a what will happen, each class:

-at the beginning of each class, there will be a *brief* introduction, so that students can see and say hello to the teacher and each other.

-after that, everyone will sit or recline with their eyes closed for the remainder of the meditation, as I guide them on their journey to deep sleep. 

-we'll start with calming breaths, and melodic sounds

then

-ease into a deep sleep meditation to settle the mind, as I play a soothing melodic drum

This class is meditation only.  If you think your learner needs a bit of physical activity in order to wind down, I suggest taking my "Bedtime Yoga and Meditation" class, instead (it's the same thing, but starts with 10 minutes of gentle yoga).

Required:

-a quiet environment

Recommended:

--pajamas or comfy clothes

-this class might be best enjoyed in bed, or on the floor next to the bed, so students can go straight to sleep

-students might want to play soft music, or soothing sounds (ocean...rain...)

-lighting shouldn't be too bright

Basically, just set students up with a quiet and relaxing space that is conducive to sleep.

In the real world, I'm a private/celebrity massage therapist, and have been for about 15 years.

Here on Outschool, I mostly teach meditation classes, and basic anatomy (muscles and bones).  


*Note: class count is not accurate.  Outschool does not count the individual classes taught during ongoing classes.  90% of my classes are taught in the ongoing format, to repeat students.
