What will I teach? I will teach students the fundamentals of debate, including how to construct strong arguments, deliver speeches confidently, and engage in critical thinking and rebuttals. What topics will I cover? We’ll cover topics such as argument structure, persuasive techniques, public speaking skills, effective research, and strategies for responding to opposing arguments. How is my class structured? The class is structured around interactive sessions that include lectures, group discussions, practice debates, and targeted exercises to help students improve step by step. How will I teach? I’ll use a mix of instruction, real-life examples, and hands-on activities. Students will actively participate in debates, analyze case studies, and practice speaking to develop their skills in a supportive environment. What’s my teaching style? My teaching style is interactive, supportive, and adaptable. I focus on creating a comfortable space where students can build confidence and challenge themselves to grow as debaters. How much will learners interact with me? Students will interact with me regularly through discussions, feedback sessions, and practice debates. We’ll work closely together to refine their skills, ensuring they feel confident and prepared in every aspect of debate.

With nearly 20 years of competitive debate experience and as a national-qualifying debater, I have taught debate across the United States, including at Harvard’s summer debate camp, as well as internationally in Thailand, China, Vietnam, and New York City. I have worked with students of all ages and grade levels, helping them master debate strategies, persuasive writing, and public speaking. As a world-class debater and instructor, I bring a deep passion for communication and a proven ability to guide learners in crafting compelling arguments and delivering impactful speeches.
