A questionnaire will be supplied to the students prior to class to fill out. We will discuss our responses at the beginning as an ice breaker. These will be open ended questions such as "If you could travel anywhere in space, where would you go and why?" We will then do a PowerPoint lecture. We will cover information about both the Sun and the Earth's Moon, such as temperature, size, appearance, dangers, moon phases, effects on the Earth and some history. I will ask questions during the lecture for students to answer. Students will also be provided with an optional coloring sheet.

Students will gain a better understanding of our moon and the Sun, and their importance to our Earth.

Hi there!
My name is Marie and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. In my earlier college days I was enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program, and I have direct experience working with children ages 2-22. Some of the subjects that I am passionate about learning and teaching are: astronomy, drawing, animals and earth science! My philosophy behind my teaching is that each student learns differently, and I would like to provide an open-minded environment to help each child maximize their abilities. I enjoy allowing my students to have as much verbal participation as possible!
Some fun facts about me: I have an 11 year old daughter. I have had many types of pets including birds, cats, mice, hamsters, fish, hermit crabs and a tarantula! My 2 most favorite things are astronomy and Halloween. I also work as a special education paraprofessional.! I am excited to meet you and hope to see you in some of my classes!Reseñas
