In this flexible schedule dance class, learners will jump and move to the music from Scotland's Highlands. Fans of the fierce princess Merida will be introduced to the traditional dance style seen in Brave. Dancers will participate in Highland Dance through video lessons over the course of 4 weeks. Each week, a new class will be posted to the classroom and will include a warm up, choreography, and a cool down. We will also learn about Scotland's history and culture! This class does not include live meetings and doesn't have a set class time which allows your child to learn at a time during the week that works best for your schedule. Each week, students will be encouraged to share their favorite move from class or a dance move of choice by uploading a video or commenting. I will always comment on these posts and the other learners are encouraged to comment as well to foster an environment of community. All ability levels are welcome and no prior dance experience is needed.
