Welcome to our Morning Circle Time class! We offer fun way to start each day with a positive approach. We are fully rooted in Montessori Circle Time principles with a mix of structured activities and open discussions. We aim for here every student to feel valued and ready to learn. We are proud to be the first and only accredited Montessori school on the Outschool platform, featuring certified teachers who bring their expertise from our brick-and-mortar school located in Ontario, Canada. Our teaching style is fun, engaging, and productive. We believe that starting the day with a structured yet enjoyable routine helps students feel grounded and ready to learn. By incorporating a mix of storytelling, interactive activities, and open discussions, we aim to keep students interested and motivated. Students will have ample opportunities to interact with the teacher and their peers throughout the class. Whether through open discussions, participating in weather chart updates, or sharing their feelings, learners are encouraged to be active participants. We use a variety of tools, including stories, games, slides, and video clips, to make lessons dynamic and relatable, ensuring that every student remains engaged and involved. In this class, we will focus on creating a morning routine that helps students transition smoothly into their day. The "Morning Circle" is designed to be an essential part of the daily schedule, providing a consistent and calming start to the day. Our primary goal is to establish a sense of order, belonging, and readiness for the activities ahead. Topics Covered Story Time: Each session begins with the teacher reading a captivating story. This not only sets a positive and relaxed tone but also serves as a practical demonstration of reading fluency and expression. Story time helps ignite the students' imaginations and encourages a love for reading. Today's Date: We will discuss the day's date and update the class calendar. This activity helps students develop a sense of time and understand the importance of routine. It also provides an opportunity to practice number recognition and sequencing. Weather: Recording the day's weather is a fun and interactive way for students to engage with their environment. We will discuss different weather conditions, learn related vocabulary, and update our weather chart accordingly. Feelings Chart: We will check in with our feelings chart, where students can express how they are feeling that day. This activity promotes emotional awareness and helps build a supportive community where students feel comfortable sharing their emotions. Positive Affirmations: To set a positive tone for the day, we will recite positive affirmations together. This practice helps boost self-esteem and encourages a positive mindset, preparing students to face the day with confidence. Join us in the Morning Circle class, where we start each day with a sense of community, positivity, and readiness for the exciting day ahead!
