This 5-week course will help your child learn how to read by learning how to blend sounds to make essential CVC words. Join us for a fun and interactive class. We will focus on CVC words. Word Families -Focus On: -at, -it, -ot, -et, -ut. CVC words are essential to learning how to transform sounds into words. This phonemic awareness skill is essential in learning how to blend and read. Learn how to read CVC words through blending letter sounds, engaging activities, games, and lots of repetition. Students will need some paper and writing tools. Your child should have a whiteboard, marker, and eraser to practice words during class. Your child will need, crayons, and a pencil. Your child should have most letter sounds mastered. Word families are typically learned in Kindergarten and should be known before 1st Grade. Class 1: Focus On: Word Families: -at, -it, -ot, -et, -ut I am a licensed teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education with more than 13 years of experience teaching children in a school setting. In addition, I hold a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, emphasizing STEAM and Online Teaching and Learning Certification.
