Investigación de la escena del crimen: La escena musical

A successful band, The Knights of Cydonia, has decided to add a new member.  They set up auditions at a studio owned by their record label, and several promising guitarists are invited.  Each guitarists auditions in the morning and after lunch, and everything seems to go off without a hitch, until the band's lead singer comes back into the room and finds that it has been transformed into a crime scene.

Where will the crucial clues be found--in the band members' notes on each guitarist, a broken guitar string, a water bottle, a demo CD, a broken window, or trace evidence?   Perhaps, all of these things will swirl together to give us a solution to this musical mystery.

This mock crime scene is one that I have used for several years in my in-person programs.  The students will be able to download all of the evidence files, and we will examine each item to see what it might reveal.  This class will encourage critical thinking and will allow students to connect seemingly disparate pieces of evidence to catch the culprit.
