Get $10 off my class "Creative Writing Workshop for Kids" with coupon code SNYDERSUMMER10 until Jul 31, 2023. In this 4-part workshop, students will learn new elements of fiction, each week, and create a fictional short story based on these elements. Students will use the general themes of Fall and/or Winter in their stories, in some way, to create a class collection with a related idea. All other themes used in the course will be student choice. Course Calendar: Week 1 - Elements: Character and Point of View (Students will develop at least one protagonist and one antagonist for their short stories) Week 2 - Elements: Plot and Conflict (Students will build upon their created characters to develop a plot line and conflicts to engage their characters from the previous week). Week 3 - Elements: Theme and Setting (Students will continue to enhance their short story by thinking about where the action is taking place, world-building, as well as identifying ideas they want to express through their short stories that may need additional details for readers to recognize). Week 4 - In the fourth class of the workshop, students will present a brief summary of what they have completed and have the opportunity to hear feedback from one another for the final completion of their short stories. During the workshop, students will listen to descriptions, explanations and examples of key fiction terms to begin to generate ideas about their short stories. Students will be given the freedom to create any character, setting and plot line they choose, with the guidance of the teacher.
Metas de aprendizaje
