This class is listed due to several students requesting a weekly class.  While this class will be fun and interactive, it will also explore writing with an eye for improving writing skills. We will meet as a group once a week. Each week, we will discuss a different part of early reading or writing, and practice our English skills as we learn. Each class will focus on journaling and the skills taught will change weekly; having said that, you can join in anytime.  
Every week will include one of the following topics, on a rotational basis, based on what the students need .

week 2 (Feb 11) - Creating a character
week 3 (Feb 18) - Building better sentences
week 4 (Feb 25) - The active voice
week 5 (March 4) - Verbs, verbs, and more verbs
week 6 (March 11) - Ensuring the story is there
week 7 (March 18) - Creating dialogue
week 8 (March 25) - Rhyming words, poetry and more

These classes will be fun and engaging, and will include games or projects. If anything is required beyond paper, crayons and a notebook. Students are welcome to join at any time, each class does not build on the prior class, so they will not be left out.
